How do I get sponsors to see me

Like I know I'm not good enough to be sponsored yet I can only do cork 7s backflips double backflips and below etc... but I'm not sure how to get sponsored when your good enough I can make dope edits but how r sponsors ever going to see them what's the best way to get seen

Send it directly to a company's team manager or marketing manger along with a resume and cover letter. It's just like applying for a job, basically.

Or go wild on social media, blow up the internet, and they'll all come to you.

Competitions are a good way to get known. Also like already said, apply for some teams.

it's not about how good you are unless you are winning comps:

it's about the content you create. make dope edits and have tons of fun.

id message one of the 6000 kids who already made this thread

or i would think for someone to spanser an athletic brand ambassador

the ability to use the internets search fuction would be a +

Buy a massive amount of fake followers on social media and companies will come flocking once they see your ratio

Make some good content, gain followers (gotta have A LOT), Compete a little, and most importantly don't worry about going to sponsors of they think you're good they'll come to you time. Just have fun doing the best thing in the world, skiing!

-lots of followers

-placing good in comps

-be unique with your vids/tricks to get noticed

basically the 3 most common ways i feel like, i'd say wither try to gain a big instagrm account with a lot of followers making unique vids unless you think you want to be a comp skier.

1) Be a good skier.

2) Content is king. Put out your own content...frequently and consitantly.

3) Don't be a douche.

4) Seriously. Don't be a douche.

5) Be willing to work with a company and the other team riders on more than just your own radness.

Social media matters, but amounts of followers isn't the end all, be all.

in-person makes a big difference.

Go to comps and meet people, or better yet, compete! (sponsors still like comp results)

Go to Mt. Hood/Momentum in the summer - meet people

demos with local reps are a good way to meet potential sponsors

start out with a local ski shop sponsor (trade them a pair of skis for a season's worth of content)

Do you have an actual filmer or are you just doing POV and pole cam? They want to see a quality result with some personality in there, AND good skiing. Good Photos go a long way too.

Well there's your answer, you fucking idiot. They're seeing you, they just don't like what they see.

I hopped over and took a peek at your video in your profile. You got some zooo tricks all you need is a little more sty, more grabs, and dial down your rail game a lil. Otha than that I'd say you need a homie to film you!! Peace ✌

hahahaha, oh yes you're going somewhere alright....

Its not your forum, you little bitch. Its mine. It will always be mine.

Pick up where Totally Trevor and do the following;

- Thumb gun every can you ever purchase

- Make wildly entertaining videos w/ friends (best case: get sponsored & have fun with friends, worst case: have fun with friends)

- grow seedy moustache (bonus points for fu manchu - because they're ill)

But seriously, just try and enter comps and do well. Social media exposure is huge as well - i.e. build a large audience and sponsors will see this and contact you because of your reach.

Also, kill it with tricks (more innovative the better)

Wrong. Pretty much the only way is through competing. You can have 15,000 instagram followers and that isn't a big deal to sponsors. Results are, as sad as it is. Compete in USSA and USASA and keep putting social media out there. Source: DM me

If you think you are tough enough to make a living out of skiing, someone else will do something crazier to grab attention. Ive been trying to get some support to sustain my skiing for over 12 years...winning local contests, chumming up to shops and reps and putting out videos to attract attention... nothing worked.

If you love skiing to ski every day, find a well paying job and support yourself in the summer time. Sponsor yourself first.

Second method is to start your own brand and represent yourself, using you as model. You can use all sales to support yourself in your projects.

I sell my photographic prints to friends, shops and even local government. Made enough money this year to pay for 1\7th of a season pass. Getting deals when buying bulk (skis, bindings and boots for 1400$ is an example of financing skiing.

My advice is dont expect people to care about what you do; do it for yourself and offset costs to fulfill your life projects.

Does a tellie tubbie costume work 😂😂😂

I was totally confused by this until I saw your instagram with you skiing in a tellietubbie costume. Wtf lol

I can't speak for other brands but we watch a lot of random videos everyday and know who is doing what almost all the time. If you're making sick edits you'll be recognized. Just keep doing what you like to do and keep trying to do it better.

The worst thing you can do when trying to get sponsored is to try and get sponsored. If you're at the point you'll get hit up.

I mean, maybe if you're trying to be like Goepper, Gus, etc... But I can think of a whole mess of skiers who don't compete regularly and/or are not known for competing.

Free equipment is not being paid. Lots of people get free stuff including filmers and coaches. It's flow.
