How did you learn more advanced tricks?

I've been having this debate with my friend over how people learn more advanced tricks. By advanced tricks I mean corks, mistys, and other inverts that are more difficult than backies and straight spins. My friend is convinced that people throwing corks and what not have had training and coaches, and advised me not to go to the hill with a little tramp knowledge and just fuck it and huck it. I disagree. I think most people just go to their hill and fuck and huck. Who's right NS? How did you start learning these tricks?

Tramp to get the basic of a trick then huck at the hill (ie cork 7 on tramp, then do 7,9,10,5,3 on hill)

dares with my friends... if you do this, then i'll do this. or if you don't do this, you're a pussy and you'll always be #2 etc...

I do this all the time, I got 1,3,5,7, all grabbed, backies and fronties so I really want to try to cork them this weekend, but my friend keeps psyching me out, but I think I'll do it tomorrow.

Most kids dont go to camps or have coaches, you friend doesnt know what hes talking about. I would wait until you are super comfy doing the rotations on a tramp and then take it to snow.

First I usually find a big ass hill, then I make a big ass jump, then shovel. A big ass pile of snow on the landing, finally I huck big ass tricks several times. But lately I've been finding that I just huck half my new tricks at my local. I landed my first rodeos by just hacking it at my hill. You certainly don't need a coach. I don't know anyone with a coach.

I learned backflps just tryin them. i tried a few rodeos into pow but never really got the hang of it and ate shit a bunch than one day i got real lucky there was an airbag at the bottom of whistler and they let in like 20 of us (theres usually an endless line) so i got mad hits and just did rodeo after rodeo then the next day took it to snow ad it worked out and ive had them pretty much on lock ever since. I havent worked up the balls or desire to learn some new tricks like corks yet tho im hopin for another lucky airbag day

Marijuana and tupac.

I guess before that a mix of balls and peer pressure. " do it you won't" Well fuck you I'll do it, kind of shit.

i have a couple of coaches and a mega ramp built in my back yard. Coaches are a must for more difficult tricks. I would not have had the guts or knowledge to throw any of my signature left cork 7 mutes (swag*) without my coaches guiding me the whole way.
