How did you find out about NS?

My friends kept making robe and wizard hat jokes, so I read that thread and would just pop in to read every once in a while. Then last year i got a lot more into skiing, so i finally made an account. l
 
i actually forget exactly how i heard about it. i think it was my friend talk about how he checked it out periodically for news, and i really wanted to be a part of the freeskiing community like this. nothing made me stay, as soon as i made an account i knew i wanted to be a vereran member eventually
 
my friend in 7th grade showed it to me since ian compton went to our school and we used to go on his profile and watch his videos

i made an account in 06 with my friend and then lost the login info but then got it back like last year after i had like 20000000000000018 posts on this account

im pretty sure i saw it as a sponsor for pop yer bottlez, which i used to have but lost. and i want to see it again, it was fucking awesome.
 
Friends at boarding school when we were trying to create a freestyle ski team. I lurked lfor literally 4 years not posting or bothering joining after a while it became part of my daily routine.
 
i would always try to shop for used skis online, who woulda thought that'd direct me to our good ol' b/s/t
 
i was riding a chair lift 10 years ago with another "twin-tipper", got talking to him, turned out it was THE Matt Harvey, he told me about newschoolers. joined. and 10 years later im still on this shit errrrday.
 
googling ski reviews a couple of years ago, got a link to a thread. read a couple of other threads then decided to join. only started regular posting like half a year ago though, mostly just lurked until then
 
Was searching something about how to do a trick and a newschoolers thread was one of the top searches. So I then made an account...bla bla bla.
 
a friend told me when he was swaying a facebook group. I joined, then didn't post for about a year.
 
I honestly have zero idea because it was so long ago. I think I googled freeskiing or something along those lines. Maybe I was looking at places to purchase my salomon 1080's
 
when i was little grom (does anyone even say grom anymore?) back when i had dial-up internet one of the cool older guys at my hill was like "you on newschoolers?" and i was all like "what the frick is that?" and then he was all like "its basically my life" so then one day i was like wtf is this, so i looked it up.

the rest is history... i believe his name is dr.jibb or something along those lines
 
started looking up skis on google and came across the gear talk threads. wound up buying a set of surface watch lifes from 08/09 straight from the company.
