How did you find NewSchoolers?

So I see that there are quit a lot of members on here ( active and inactive ) and I was just wondering how everyone found out about new schoolers. All I know is I didn't find New Schoolers, new schoolers found me.
 
Was siting in class one day, and my friend told me to read this comment. It said "pee in her butt" and I thought it was funny. I asked what this website was and realized it was a whole website for skiing. Joined 5 minutes later.
 
Not sure. I think I just lurked for a while. My 13 year old-self found it some how, made an account, posted 4 times, left, and then I came back 5 years later.
 
Friend told me about it in like 2009 or something. Looked at it but didnt care. Came back and made an account in 2011 and didnt post too much until I decided to come back in 2012 and make an account and thats when my "problem" started.
 
Went to buy ski boots at summit boardshop in the twin cities and was asked by one of the guys if I was on NS for a 5% discount. I wasn't but he gave me the discount anyway. That evening I went to check out the site. Been wasting time ever since.

Friend was a ta in my Spanish class and he was browsing on the teachers computer. Teacher turned on the projector while he was watching an edit. Lurked for a few months and then made an account.
 
I think I was looking for info on skiing for a report in grade 9 or 10. I lurked for a while and then joined in 02'.
 
I remember stumbling into regional forums while trying to look up this shop war thing. I was like wtf is this forum? Wasn't until a few years later until my friend goes "we should go on this ski website and make fun of skiers" (I was a snowboarder at the time).

Here I am so many years later and it's taken over my life. ha

poetic. On the real side of things, one of my buddies told me he bought skis on here one time for mad cheap, but then I forgot about it. But then was reminded by the great gnarshmallow!
 
tbatty aka t3dizzle aka tedward battesh, aka monoball used to send me links to threads all the time 05-07 on aim. Eventually his brother made me an account and forced me to use it so I could post park updates for mount jore.

And like a bed bug, once I got in here I refused to leave. I hide in the day and then come out at night to be a douche and make everyone itchy

Somehow heard of it through youtube edits. Checked it out abd didnt know how to use it. Came back a year later when i reallllyy got into park riding and made an account after some friends telling me all about it.

I goggled a question about tall tees and it lead me here. Decided there was too many fashion mistakes on it and steered clear for sometime until I stumbled on ot again.
 
A couple years ago I saw an edit on facebook and the link was to ns. I wasn't a fan of the forums at the time and mostly just watched edits. Then I got bored towards the end of last season and decided to stop being a little bitch and made an account. Now I spend too much time on this website.

i watched the 2010 joss edit for team newchoolers, didnt know what the word newschoolers meant, googled "newschoolers," and lurked on the site for like 6 months. one day i wanted to post in a thread so i made an account, and here i am today.

Pretty sure I saw an NS sticker on someone's helmet at the ski hill, asked what it was then looked it up when I went home. Pretty standard
 
Got into skiing last year and wanted to see if there was a place with freestyle skiing on it. Googled, found this site, thought it was gay and left. Later on came back and made an account and pretty much came on the spot once i realized what this meant for my future.... hours and hours of mind numbingly watching videos of people that have way more skill than me and are some of the coolest people eva.

Typed in "ski edits" on google. Somehow found my way here. Only watched videos for like two years before I realized there was a forum. Made an account, the rest is history.
 
I seriously asked someone where chads gap was and they assumed that it was a NS callout. Lurked for about a year then finally made an account.
 
I found it on one of those little boxes in the corner of a website, hovered around for about a year then made an account
 
I was sitting on my couch watching TV and searching for how to do a backflip

Found a since gone (I think) section of NS where anyone could post up how to do a trick

I googled "best site in the world" --> I'm Feeling Lucky. Since it was 2007, and the chive wasn't around yet, it brought me here.
 
I think I was reading skier magazine in about 2006 or 2007 and they had an article reviewing a bunch of skiing websites.

Newschooler's description in the article was, "Upside: very in-depth park and pipe coverage. Downside: Peepz b droppin words like bush b dropping bombs."
