Curious what snowboard oriented means these days. At one point people were calling side entry lips on down rails snowboard style.

I think a lot of people ride the same stuff these days. A lot more skate style vibes, weird snow features, transfer rails etc but I think skiers and boarders both like that stuff. Sure certain features or if they're set up a certain way get a little more traffic from either but I think a good park is a good park these days regardless of having 90% skiers, 90% boarders or a mix.

To me means flat lips onto rails and stuff that sucks on skis but is fun on a board like corrugated tubes and maybe really wide rails.

True I feel that. Really flat takeoffs aren't really skiers jams cause of the pop factor. Yeah skiers can have fun on corrugates but def more a snowboard thing for sure

but corrugated tubes are fun on skis as long as the gaps aren't too big and they make a fun sound.

Metal corrugated tubes are death on skis. PVC is ok but still kind of stinky

Bear used to host War Of The Rails back in the day which was one of the most rad ski events ever. Rev Tours are still cool too.

Yea they still do some cool stuff for skis, level 1 rail jam is coming to bear in march and some other cool rail jam stuff, but at normal usasa competitions there’s never more than 2 or 3 skier for each age group. A kid on my team won the competition because there was nobody else in his group it was just him. Kinda sucks but i just wanna do them so i can go to nationals where there’s a lot more skiers.

Socal literally migrates to Tahoe every weekend
