How big should my drop in be??

I setup a rail in my backyard (which is flat) and built a drop in that's about 4 feet high. whenever I try to hit the rail i don't get enough speed.. How big should the drop in be to get sufficient speed

build a platform out of wood (if you have the cash) and make the slope out of snow

Im sure I can salvage some snow, ill use some random boxes and stuff like that to full space. Should the slope be steeper or longer to get maximum speed?

Mines about 7ft and works fine. if its turf try soaping your skiis

This is when it was partially complete we added extensions to the legs screwed the last pvc on

Ramp is too skinny to skate haha, i will probs end up pole whipping in the end

if its as short as it looks i would put the jump on a down rail or on top of a small hill to get a little more speed

yea its not the best picture here its about 5ft - 5 and half ft but its taller now it works pretty good because of the pvc you just slide like lightning

speaking of, me and my buddies just got one from our highschool we talked to the house building teacher and he hooked us up with a 14ft long pvc one of those wide blue ones

45 degrees is going to get you the max speed. Then just build it longer.

go to a mall parking lot or shopping center with a shovel and fill up your car with snow. pref. a pick up truck
