How big is your bubble?

So, growing up in Ontario I had, what I realize now, a small bubble. Around 50km by 50km. This past year though, I've realized that my current bubble is huge. It's somewhere around 200km by 200km if not more. When people asked me this summer where I live, my answer has been "the west kootenays" which is an entire region.

I'm curious to see how big everyone's bubble is. How far does your home turf stretch, how big is your 'close' friend network, and neighbourhood.

Well I should have guessed starting a thread in nsg on a Saturday night wouldn't bring in anything but

Since I'm in highschool, I'd have to say probably around 10miles x 10miles. I know a lot of people in my grade and town. And my town is relatively small

Depends on to who. To people here in France, my home turf is the entire country of Sweden, plus a bit of Norway. But to myself, my home bubble is about 10x10km + 20x5km + 30x30km. I have three.

It gets bigger for skiing doe

well idk really no how to calculate it as i live in norway now. but grew up in vancouver, seattle, and bellingham. i keep in contact with people and visit all those cities frequently. so id say pretty big.

farthest east i go is Osceola WI, then up north to Duluth, stretching all the way to portland, and down to denver than back up.

Pretty much from Canada to Hood. Close area is Seattle in the winter and Govy in the summer.

The English colonized America remember, and MA was one of the OG 13 colonies, so theres obviously gona me a heavy English influence.

I haven't been anywhere other than the ski slopes, this hotel (in the middle of nowhere in the Andes) and my house (200m away) in over a month and a half. Getting in a car, seeing more than 50 people at a time, and not going skiing is going to be a shock to the system!

But really my bubble is pretty big, I live in 2/3 different countries on different continents, have friends from everywhere and generally feel like a nomad more than I live in one place.

Mine is a double bubble connected by a balloon snake, I'd say two 20 milers and a 150 to connect them

haha its kind of bad how rarely i even leave whistler, the occasional trip to squam or pemby, dont really go to van all that much. was a lot different when i lived in maine though.

I've got a bubble that extends around most of the North East, Colorado, and southern Ireland. I ran into friends from New York in Dublin at a GAA match once. It's a small world. I'm not going to confine myself to a group of friends in one part of the world. It's nice to wander sometimes and pretend that everyone is a friend.
