How big is NS compared to other online forums

I was just wondering how big NS is in relation to other online forums. AIM, ICQ etc don't count because they are MSN.

If anybody here goes onto any other forums, that would be helpful. As NS is approaching 100,000 members, I would think that this is one of the biggest online forums.

And yes, i tried googling, nothing relevant came up.

there was some kind of report a few years ago on online communities, and NS was mentioned in it. that was a few years ago. i wouldnt be surprised if its in the top 5
 
i like this site becasue its so active like other sites u might have to wait an hour or so but with NS i click refreash and theres always something new

 
There's roughly 400 members per/day + 600 guests. Over 1000 people is pretty damn huge, I'm sure the Admins will anwer that question.
 
i actually looked into this once. newschoolers is actually the most active forums on the internet. although theres a site with 335,000 members thats rly active too
 
I'd say NS is pretty big but PBnation.com is way bigger, they have like 300,000 members and most of them are active. That place also reminds me of NS but for paintball, everyone talks about new fashions and what the pros are wearing and shooting. They also say the same shit too lol.
 
NS is probably one of the top...

though i'm sure the proboards forum beats this by far...and maybe a few other created boards but not to much
 
ok never mind...proboards forum is pretty close...they have 98.850 members...

100,000 is a huge accomplishment for a community...

i'll say one thing though i believe NS is the most active out of any forum
 
I always imagine like for every other thing, theres another ns type thing. like basketball, canoeing, etc.

but yea probably pretty big. i love NS

remember that the 100,000 includes aliases also

in that other thread about aliases some prople were fessing up to having five or so. Given that - actual members may be considerably less than 100,000, even if most people dont have aliases.

it looks like newschoolers would come in at around #364 in terms of numbers of members...the website for some reason is not actually listed there and isnt really ranked in any other categories, but....this place aint as big as you think it is
