How bads the damage

Did something really stupid at the local park and dented up my bases, I have no experience with ski repairs so I wanted to see if someone knew how bad the damage is.

Tell us the story bruh

So basically my local hill (blue mtn ontario) has a massive wooden pair of sunglasses that you jump over.. it's smith advertisement. I cleared the little jump before then thought I'd have enough speed for the sunglasses jump. Looks can be deceiving. I landed right on top of a comically large pair of fucking sunglasses and fell not so badly after. Not hurt at all but the twigs are a little banged up.

Looks like you might be able to get away with just epoxy, can’t see any core so you might be lucky

Thanks! Any concern with the sidewall being slightly squished with the dented edge (I try to do mostly natural jumps at a little ontario hill so I don't care about sharp or dull edges)

Thats pretty minor it looks bad because the base kinda flared up but once you epoxy and make it flush it will look totally normal. Keep an eye on that sidewall tho, it warped a little but I wouldn’t worry too much about it atm. Suprised the edge didn’t crack

Thanks man.. who says faction durability is ass

Please don’t put epoxy on your base.. order some PTEX and drop it on using a lighter after cleaning up the edges with a knife. Fill it in with a few layers of ptex (ie do a few drops and let it cool and repeat) then clean that up with an exacto blade so it’s flat. Don’t worry about the bend on your edge just watch it to make sure it doesn’t bulge out. Epoxy and base material do not mix please don’t put epoxy on your base.

Noted, I was planning on using ptex anyways

ah, damage from a gigantic pair of sunglasses, who hasn't been there?

fr though the skis will be fine. remove what you need to and ptex it and you're g2g. have a shop or shop buddy do it if you need to
