How are Oakley jackets?

I've been looking for a new jacket for this season. I found this great deal on the oakley freight jacket and was wondering if anyone had worn it or knew if it was quality? Also I can get it in white or yellow so what would look best with black pants? thanks.

I've had all kindsa different jackets over the years and I gotta say that Oakley is the best quality. I still have a suit from like six years ago that looks like the day I bought it.

oakley makes great gear, always has, always will. They were the trenddy brand before skiing got gay and obsessed with 40" zippers

any color goes with black pants, yellow will get less dirty then white, white will look better if you keep it clean in my opinion

^^this my oakley fari jacket is super good quality and fits great but the white is so white it's actually whiter than snow and it's a real pain to keep it clean .... :)

/end white girl problems

i would also like to know.

kinda thread jacking here but what about the amplier jacket in mint? i found it for 180 and really need a new jacket before the season.

id say they are def worth it if your getting em at low prices. although in my opinion no outerwear is worth retail. but yeah they are quality jackets

the only thing i dislike about them is that the fari and corked i know for sure use magnets

they can fuck with a beacon, and since i want to get into bc skiing i dont want something that will kill me.

however the quality is great and i think they look sick

slightly pricy however

Some of the terje stuff had sensors sewn in I thought but we thought the magnets would cause an issue as well. We tested em and they were fine. That said we didn't bury a jacket to test it either and jus did it standing there but I think you'd be ok.

I have the primed jacket, It is the nicest jacket I have ever worn, and is ridiculously waterproof. Their outerwear is awesome

I would stay away from the ones that have magnets in the front near where you would have a beacon. In any case, those are probably not the type of coat you want for the BC. It's not that big of an issue with the traditional magnet Oakley uses to hold the hood in place.

I have had a number of pieces from Oakley over the years. The quality is always outstanding. I refuse to buy them new though.

I just got last seasons Oakley Primed shell for 250. Really clean shell.

they work well and keep you dry, even in soaking wet PNW snow, if you're more concerned about how you look than how you're gear actually functions, save some money and buy a hoodie

I've had really positive experiences the past 2 years. Had Morrison's ALPS coat and pants, the eVent material stuff and I still rock it and stay totally dry in the PNW. Good durability on that stuff as well, convenient features, great heat dump (hiking), etc. Can handle a shoulder busting through some branches with no coat shredding.
Used the stuff that was in market last year too, the PRIME bib. That was great waterproofing, great durability again, you can hit branches and such and it won't shred. Need to layer pretty good on all the items with zero insulation.
Only negatives I found were some of the more 'textured' materials they have used on coats and pants in the past did not hold up as well as others. BUT, that is to be expected. I had the black Air Raid bibs and that stuff began to come undone and a bit fuzzy in spots of constant wear. That affected the waterproofing in that spot, BUT, I still never got wet through the layers, which is rad.
All in all, I would recommend the stuff. I have only used the stuff that is higher that 20k waterproofing and have had no issues. Like the fit and like the clean style on the stuff I was wearing and every year was noticeable improvements in features and material.
