How are CRJs on variable snow?

I like fat skis. I have daily driven my Bent Chetlers for a couple seasons, and they're fun, but when the snow gets really nasty, I'm not having as much fun as they guys I ski with on their, narrower, stiffer skis. My question to you is if I should grab a set of CRJs (I can get a pair ridiculously cheap, well below cost), daily them, and save the Bents for really soft days? Does anyone have much experience on them?

Thanks.

Check out the Cody from 4frnt. It essentially the same rocker profile/shape, just smaller and stiffer. Might be just what you need? The CRJ wouldnt be my first choice for variable snow, it will handle better than the bentchetler since it is a little bit smaller, but it isnt exactly the variable shit snow machine.

When I was researching the CRJs a few years back, the lack of performance in variable snow seemed to be a reoccurring theme. Also the shape another frequent comment was the shape took a while to get used to on harder snow. At least that's what I can remember.

CRJ will do slighly better than the Bent Chetler but not a whole lot, so if you're keeping the BC then go stiff and chargy for your new ski for sure. Katana, Cochise, Belafonte, Wrenegadde, that sort of thing.

Devastator is the new shit, absolutely wonderful ride. There are some turbos to be found on steepandcheap/backcountry at the moment.

Thanks guys, the only reason I was thinking CRJ was because I have a strain of connections through the bike shop I work at to get a pair, and that's all they have listed. The thing is, that I'm probably selling my Switchblades to fund this pair, and skiing Bents on rails is only fun for so long, so I was thinking about something I could drive in the park if I have to as well.

Go Devastator for sure then. About as one ski quiverish as you can get. It charges everything, and still is a ton of fun in the park.
