Housing around Golden, Jan. '06

My friend and I are planning a road trip from New Hampshire to Golden, BC in January, 2006 and are searching for a place to stay. Does anyone live in the area and if so, where should we look for housing? We're looking to go cheap, as we're college students with little cash. Thanks for your help.

The Hostel's are okay in Golden, I'd stay at the new one. You might want to post under BC Interior though as this is part of the AB regional forum, and Golden is in BC, not AB.

golden is not considered part of the 'interior', but anyway check their website for both golden and kicking horse.. other then that I dont know.
