House hunting

I have been trying to get my own place to live since senior year of high school. Up until now I have been living in campus dorms, and my parents house during the summer. Any tips on getting people together to rent a house, or find a room somewhere?

I have tried craigslist, and posted flyers around campus.

If you're trying to live with others, get them together first. Whoever you hang out with at school would be the obvious place to start. Then go to craigslist and check it everyday for a while. It takes time. If you still need roommates when you have a place, use your school's Facebook page and craigslist again if that doesn't work.
