I was wondering what people thought about this movie. I thought it was incredible, it wasn't just about the massacre and it wasn't overly bloody. It showed the politcal side of the story and how families dealt with what was going on. It also didn't come right out and say the U.N. sucked it just tried to show it like it happened. Overall I thought it was an excellent movie, Don Cheadle should get an award for his preformance.

To who ever else has seen it waht are your thoughts?

All of rubin's cards were marked in advance

The trial was a pig-circus, he never had a chance.

The judge made rubin's witnesses drunkards from the slums

To the white folks who watched he was a revolutionary bum

And to the black folks he was just a crazy nigger.

No one doubted that he pulled the trigger.

And though they could not produce the gun,

The d.a. said he was the one who did the deed

And the all-white jury agreed.

Best movie I have seen in a long time. I learned about the genocide in school last year but the movie really made what happened come alive. It was rather un-settling to watch.

un-settling I think would almost be an understatement. It was so horrific I really didn't know how to react, I just sat in my seat for a while after it ended and thought.

I sorta wish they said more about how the UN failed misserably.

i saw the movie several weeks ago, it is quite a remarkable film. The approach the film was smart, i think, by still showing the unbelievable atrocity, by focusing on paul and his role, without just pure bloodshed and masacre, which would be easy, and i think, less impacting. i was amazed when i saw it, and i still think back to the movie a lot. Throughout the whole movie i was stunned at what was going on, not just in rwanda (but stunned with that of course), but the world reaction. it's powerful to say the least, and i dont say that about movies. don cheadle did an amazing job, one of the best movies ive seen in a good while

I liked that they didn't say the U.N. failed miserably. That wans't the point of the film and U.N. bashing wouldn't really ahve fit. From the interaction with the U.N. the viewer gets enough of a sense that the U.N. fucked up massivly and I think thats better then actually saying the U.N. fucked up.

my mom wanted to take me to it last night pretty late cause it was the last day it was playing. But on the way to meet her there i smoked a big blunt, which turned out not to be a good idea cause by the time i got there I was baked so bad I thought them movie theater door was an eletric sliding door, so i kept banging on it until someone came and showed me that there was a handle. And then my mom kept looking at me weird and then started smelling my shirt, but lucky she was like 'oh you smell good'. But yea the movie was really good, I had no idea what the fuck was happeneing for most of it but it was crazy to watch high with all the gunshots and stuff so realistic. africa needs some serious help

I saw the movie, it was good, but for some reason I felt as if it could have been made a lot better, becuase the story is great, but something was lacking.

If you liked the movie and can handle it read the book 'Shake Hands With The Devil' its more grusome, but it is told by a Commander who witnessed the 80,000 deaths and became suicidal! It really made me realize how good i got it over here!
