This is the exact reason why I want to make a fair amount of money, My chances of going pro are very slim. So I ask myself: "How can I give back to the industry?" The answer seemed obvious, do an online only JIBIJ replica, still sponsoring skiers, while being able to hook up skiers around the world. To open a shop like that, you need money. I have been asked why I bother taking AP instead of just skiing.
1. I want a disposable income
2. I'd rather be able to afford a second home or many vacations
3. So I can give back to the industry
One of my life goals is to change the world somehow, if I change the skiing industry, I would say I had an effect on the world, and fulfilled my life goal. Of course, I am going to need a solid income. Hopefully I can become some sort of doctor/engineer. Making $250,000/yr. doesn't sound too bad to me.
I would definitely build a shop carrying what you guys want, not a shop that puts and extra $50,000 in my pocket. I would use the income to support the shop and hopefully put the rest towards comps and progressing freeskiing, helping get some guys out there. THAT, is my goal in life.
