so recently i watched the Halloween remake by Zombie, the beginning was kind of cool to know how Myers became this psycho killer, but then when he grows up his killings are so predictable and the victims are such idiots its not even funny. In the original Micheal was this demon that you never knew when he would strike because he wasn't human, he was pure evil.

now that Zombies movie went over so well in the box office, Micheal Bay decided to remake 3 of the greatest horror movies of all time and pretty much they are going to be killed, all Michael Bay is good for is making special effects..... he wants Johnny Depp to play Kruger(Depp was in the original but as one of the teenagers) it is going to look so messed up because Robert Englund the original dude that played kruger was perfect for the part. also they are remaking Friday the 13th....... the idea of remaking a movie like that is insane.

do you think they should be remaking all these films?

why is it so tough for these people to create something original
 
i agree with you that they are butchering it but theres nothing left to come up with. all they have to work with is bullshit movies like mirrors
 
Sequels and remakes are the two genres that make the most money. That's pretty much what it comes down to.
 
The reason why horror movies are so shitty now is because no matter what, people go to them and the studios make their money. Why change what works? sure they suck, but they make money. Hollywood productions can be more about money than the art, it's just the way it is.
