Damn, people are just looking for threads to argue about stupid shit. Woo yea. Look at my politics!!!
OP, nowhere to live up the hill but there's plenty of places to camp. Housing can be tough depending on when you go and how long you plan to be there. Probably not worth the hassle if you're just going for the summer.
There's places to camp all over and the snow parks are fair game. There's a couple right by Trillium just a mile down from Govy, there's the rest area in Govy, you're allowed to car camp on the sides of the road in the summer in Govy.
A lot of people start at the airstrip. That's at trillium lake. Not a bad spot, gets crowdes. Better for short term and partying maybe.
If you end up camping you'll meet people where you can take a real shower sometimes in town. There's bathrooms at the rest area, canpgrounds, most of the big trailheads, and obviously the mtn.
But you can camp all over the place. I was down near frog lake most of the summer.
A lot of good options. Can just kinda show up and find a spot and then go from there. Some jobs at tline can be competitive so apply sooner than later.
Idk anything about working at windells really. Would assume there's some sort of staff housing there though.
