Honey badger softer than blend?

I was checking out lines 2021 catalog and the flex rating on the skis says that the honey badger is a notch softer than the blends. Is this true? I always thought the blends were the softest ski.
 
Paging [tag=105085]@Twig[/tag] , I saw that dude drop some serious knowledge on the flex of the blends and others recently, maybe he knows the honey badger that well too
 
I don’t have too much experience with blends but had honey badgers and they are super super soft and they are really poppy. Blends seem more noodly but softer in the noses.both great soft skis.
 
Badgers are softer and they’re also not available in the 185 like the Blend is. If I were to hop on a 178 Blend and a 178 Badger the Badger would be softer, and if I were to get on the 185 Blend and the 178 Badger the Badger would be WAY softer. The Blends are regarded as the “softest ski on the market” because even though they don’t say it, the Badger is essentially a youth Blend. Since it’s not available in longer sizes, it’s more of a “tweener” ski. Obviously if you’re an adult you can ski it but it’s a tweener ski, which is why you hear of people blowing them up all the time. They aren’t as durable as the Blend where the Blend isn’t even that durable
 
I have the honey badgers, they are ridiculously bendy. You can pop pretty insane ollies and nollies with them. I think the only downside is that they are somewhat unstable feeling at high speeds. They do hang in there though, I have skied them in the shittiest of conditions and they're so nimble you shouldn't be nervous about anything. With tyrolia attacks they are like the lightest setup ever, you can hardly feel them on your feet when you're on the chair. Also, in reference to the previous post, I'm a grown ass man about 5'9" 150 lbs and I've skied them every day for two seasons... durability is for sure not great. sidewall blowout just now happening though, so they made it thru a whole season and a half of rails without catastrophic failure,, could be worse.

Nice. That’s pretty much exactly what I was looking for. What length you riding ? And did you have the 2019’s?

I got the 177s. I have the 2020 model with the tan topsheet
