Howd your process go? Did you do a bunch of tramp and water stuff or did you just huck and pray

started off just hucking meat on tramp, last spring i literally could not even do a simple backflip on a trampoline i shit you not. no background in action sports or anything pretty much just grew up generally athletic while all my friends were into that stuff already.

did a ton of research on old NS posts and youtube vids from trifes, oldham, and stomp it tutorials, taught myself cork, rodeo, misty, underflip, dub back, dub front, flat ground backies and all of the grabs (that you can do without skis) and spins up to 1080 on tramp just building up my air awareness and muscle memory.

learned about visualization, meditation, set, spotting, and air awareness and how vital they are.

spent all of last season doing straight airs off various sized jumps w/ different grabs and 180s and 360s (still can’t do consistent 3s)

then i tried a few off a 10 foot drop into water off my friend’s deck at his lake house which really helped air awareness but that’s the only water stuff i did the rest was tramp.

the rest was all mental, the night before i visualized the trick probably close to 300 times and meditated, then yesterday i just felt out the jump 6 times w different speed/pop until i had the speed dialed, watched someone toss a flat 3, then just psyched myself up and committed 100% and it came around so easily

Yeah I need to get my ass a tramp. I’ve been just doing backrolls and tried flipping into a snowbank but hit the ground face first. Im able to do half flips into snow or whatever but that doesn’t help much on skis I imagine

Most tricks on skis feel the exact same as tramp just with a lot of extra weight on ur feet. except for front flips they don’t feel like tramp at all

i don’t even have a tramp, learned all that stuff at a franchise trampoline park place called skyzone since i don’t have access to any super tramps in ny/ couldn’t buy a tramp. their tramps are mid but you can learn a lot of stuff on them. idk where you live but i’m sure there’s an equivalent place there, most do a monthly pass that is like equal to the price of going twice. get after it homie sounds like you want it bad enough!

yea it was super weird feeling the weight on my feet and feeling it go over my head, literally felt like doing a tramp gainer with 5 lb weights on my ankles

Yea I remember my first ever backflip attempt my skis felt insanely heavy and my rotation slowed down super fast but I was still able to stomp it somehow
