Homemade snow machine

pressure washer, air compressor is basically all you need to build a snow machine. I found Free plans on how to make it online. The site is actually really cool out your zip code in and it tells you how many days it was below freezing last year.

yeah i suggested that to my friends last year to use for our mini backyard terrain stuff, but we never got around to trying it. hopefully this winter

yeah there is also a cult on here about snow making. i dont know how active it is i haven't checked it in a while

I was thinking the same thing about the pipes freezing but for under $100 could always use an extra snow gun laying around.

The house pipes you run it off of your water hose and most the time they are not insulated .

yea i made snow for the past 2 years at home. with my gun i get about 2 feet in 12 hours on 10' x 35' area. if anyone wants a gun ill sell it to them for $75

here is what i got with my "snow gun" but i only used a air compressor and garden hose.

for the best results you need a pressure washer. which i dont have

for the snow in this picture i had the "gun running for about 45min

as long as you had a water supply, power and a location where the fuzz wouldn;t hear the compressor

Yeah but if you're super careful and don't forget you can run the pipes dry before you shut them off.

The water wouldn't freeze if its flowing through them, but when you stopped using the snowmaking machine you'd have to shut off the water to your hose, then run the hose until there's no more water coming out. That way your pipes would be dry and no freezing!
