Whats up Guys,
Not sure how many of you went to this competition last year at Stevens Pass but I would definitely say it was definitely the most legit comp in Washington last year in terms of a slopestyle. Seriously is a great comp whether its your first year in the park or your 10th. Based on the #'s last year it's been broken up into a two day ordeal so everyday can have the practice they need to put together a run.
April 4thRegistration 10:00-12:00 AMOpen Practice 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
April 5thRegistration 8:00-9:00 AMPractice 9:00 - 10:15 AMComp Starts at 10:30 AM
Entry Fee: $60 for Pros and $45 for Am's.
There is a cash prize for the pro's as well as tons of schwag for everyone.
The bigger the turnout the better and better this comp will get over the years.
 
It was fun last year even though my run was shitty...

Im still debating whether or not to enter...w/ my third concussion freshly under my belt I may decide against it...Im gonna be a vegetable at age 50

We will see though I recommend all to enter as it is a good time for sure
 
^ yea, and he absolutely slayed last year....i would have to agree with kohl that it was by far the most legit comp in washington last year, hopefully it will be again.

and i would say watch out for eric stai, but im not sure if his colarbone will be good by then...but everyone in washington needs to watch out for him in the next 5 years.
 
hopefully in five years skiing won't be about pretzels and who can do the same exact looking spin. no hate though. good luck to all.
 
I don't know about pretzels, I like them. But I definitely feel you about jumps. Everyone just grabs mute and spins their ass off. When Sammy fell at the top of X slope, then just had a crap run, I liked it better than his real run. He was just doing styley as hell corks and rodeos. And nothing more than a 7. Way cooler and more style than everyone else.
 
i hate that question/statement (when people, are like 'im not good enough")...just go, ski with a bunch of other skiers, and have fun.
 
Fuck, that one always gets me. Every time I try it seems like I clip in backwards. They really need to put a "Front" on the toepiece so I can get this right~
 
I don't know ya very well Jamie but for someone who sounds so open minded on the chats , you seem to be purdy self rightious and opinionated about others sharing the same time and space as yourself. Also I think you are a purdy solid rider but I hear you getting pissed at yourself out there, are you sure you are having fun?. Just a surface opinion, I'm probably wrong, but the hand full of times I've said whats up to you, you act like you are too good to return the jesture.
 
I think this might be some misunderstanding. Jamie is pretty chill and nice. Pretty much every skier will have times where they get pissed off if they are having a bad day. I know it happens to me a lot. Anyone who tries to same trick 30 times in a row and keep falling will be pissed. It's a part of our sport. I'd say I get a lot more frustrated way more often than Jamie haha. I'm betting that hand full of times was just some bad timing or misunderstanding.

I'd definitely say as far as I've seen almost every skier in this area isn't a dick.
 
yea i'm gonna have to agree and say that kind of question is just ridiculous. too many just don't allow themselves to "lose" or whatever. I got like last place in the first competitions I did, but learned more that way in the end. If there isn't a struggle or humbling moment at some point, then it's not as rewarding?

anyway, slopestyle is going to be sick, and QP is shaping up nicely!
 
I agree,,, I guess it's me that has become a little intolerant cause I'm so sick of all the attitudes these days. I skied Idaho for 4 days this season and met more fun and unconditioal people/ NS's than I have in 10 years at Snoqualmie. I must really be a lame fuck sense everytime I try to catch up with some fun riders, I just get that look like I don't belong or something.
 
1. I am definately have fun everytime i am skiing. It just gets irritating when you don't land a trick that you have been trying for a while.

2. Im sorry if I gave off that impression, but the last time I remember seeing you up there was at alpy last spring, at the jump.

forums. This went from if Spong is going to compete in the comp to eBang

winning the comp on skis to how nice Jamie is on the slopes... pretty entertaining from

my perspective…Nonetheless hope to see you all at the comp, should be a good

I realy want to do this, I am 14 and I got my 5s and switch 3s all with grabs, should I go for it or what????+++++++++++++++++++++karma
