Hockey bros

I take it you are talking about ice hockey... well in countries where ice hockey isn't very popular; grass hockey players are still pretty "bro". Along with the rugby team, who also are fairly "bro". The cricket team is semi-bro, while the football (soccer) team are just douches.

I feel i speak for 100% of British schools, colleges and universities in describing the demographic of their sports teams.

Come @ me Bro!

I can't believe it, this shit has been around since Ancient Greece and I have never even heard about it before.

lol @ the idea of english bros.

Also lol @ mens field hockey.

also lol @ cricket players being bros.

my school's hockey team is really good, but almost all of the hockey players are dicks, so I only like the kids when they are on the ice...and rugby is definitely bro

You may laugh, but there are the equivalent of "bros" here in england with exactly the same characteristics as American bros. We just don't call them "bros".

Cricket attracts bros, it may seem like a honourable sport... but trust me it is not! bro central.

They think it takes skill to run around playing foot hockey on grass as opposed to strapping on some ice skates and playing ice hockey. Very slippery surface all the time vs. a solid, stable and occasionally slippery surface.

lax= easiest sport around. if you can run and hold a ball in a deep ass pocket, and then either shoot the hard rubber ball from 10 feet out at a goalie wearing less than you, or manage to pass it to a teammate, you can play lax. and before anybody jumps down my throat, i played lacrosse in high school

ok, but if you dont know how to play lax and use the stick and shit, its pretty hard. you make no sense, deal with it

so anyone who is athletic and has a good time with their peers is a 'bro' and deserves to be heckled.

but skiing........ perfectly fine. nothing wrong with us, right?

...but...but...you SEE there're DIFFERENT kinds of skiers... Like Bobby Broonie, he's like, really jock bro type, y'know and then, like, Pollard is like, just, like, not like that at all. You don't, like, see that in hockey.

My old school was full of hockey bros. Soo obnoxious!

I mean, I love hockey, but the mentality that comes with it, not so much.

Its kind of a chick sport like softball or something and no one in America plays it except snooty east coast private schools.
I played a little hockey back in highschool, but it was club hockey so people didn't take it that seriously and everyone was pretty chill. I ended up messing my back up and had to quit though. I should have played goalie but could never afford all the equipment just on the off chance I was good at it.

what is a hockey bro cause there are lax bros at my school and they blow but most of the hockey kids are relatively cool

I would probably say chavs are the bros of England. England is kind of a country of bros because everyone likes a pint and a soccer game so much. But chavs are the highschool/college aged douchebags who are generally idiots and no one likes.

Where was your high school, cause in areas where no one plays lacrosse its mad easy if you are athletic in general, but in the lax hot beds, ie 1) Long Island, New York, 2) Maryland, 3) some of New England, it is ridiculously hard...I know a bunch of kids who now play in D1 colleges

My school is filled with them, we have a hockey academy. They can be funny but dicks at the same time. What they do consists of: 1) playing hockey 2) packing dips everywhere 3) beaking kids/each other. We also have lax bros but I don't think they're as bad and baseball kids who migrate near their lockers probably packing dips but who knows what those kids do..

your completely right. All the kids that never played sports in elementary or junior high now plays lax at the high school and they are so unathletic and they're considered "good". If I didn't play baseball, i would play lax and im sure id be good at it

No. Same meaning and connotation. It's just not used very often as "bro" is an americanism. Where I come from we use "Lads" to describe what you call "bros". However describing people who you call "bros" depends on where you are from in Britain; as slang words will change from city to city.

"Chavs" are different from "bros". Chavs are just the dredges of the Earth.

You'd be surprised, some guy up top said it. Its easy to pick up a stick and play if you're in a shitty area/school for lacrosse; and you're right, anyone can play there. But in areas where lacrosse is a huge sport it's very difficult to play, and you need to be very dedicated and extremely athletic to even think about stepping on the field.

yeah, like any activity, if you do it in an area with really good people then it's hard to do of course, but the basic skills of lacrosse are so easy it's a joke. my lax coach in school literally preferred to recruit track kids and basically just taught them how to cradle and run away from everyone then dump it to an attack guy to shoot from on top of the crease

why lax is popular in most low level high schools: it's easy but still considered cool. middies just have to know how to run and pass it 15 feet, attack is easy as shit (be able to whip a bounce shot from 10 feet out), and defenders just have to love wailing on people with a long stick

Yes but are skiers bros in the way that we think we are better than everyone else, think they can kick the shit out of anyone, slay mad greasy lg pussy, and dip all day everyday ? Didn't think so...

Depends what kind of lacrosse, I play box and the goalies are massive, the nets are small, and there is a lot more physical contact, it's bananas

am i the only one on newschoolers who is a bro i love hockey and the whole culture and dont knock packin bombs its unreal and u get some of the best biddies because of hockey
