Hitchhikin/public transportation

So my friends and i were planning on renting a place out next summer and i was just wondering how easy it would be to hitchhike or get from nearby towns(within half an hour) to mt hood or from portland up there. Anything helps
 
Really not that easy, and the prices are going to add up as you keep doing it. You can take public transportation from Portland to Gresham to Sandy, then catch a bus to Govy, but its a bitch. I had a buddy workin at Hillcrest who lived in Govy and caught the bus every damn day.
Try to get a car with all your buddies...
 
well, welches is about 20 minutes from the mountain. It is super easy to hitch from there, rhody is just a bit further down and is a little harder to hitch from, but not that bad!
