Hit my first rail today

Hit my first rail today. ended up getting a couple better ones than this video and hit a down rail too. what should i work on and where should i improve from here

hell yeah nice work dog. Wider stance, get a bit more sideways, more forward pressure. I agree it's a good idea to start hitting from the side. Even though that rail is not a street style rail (ie. rail higher than takeoff, just to be clear) it's good practice for when u wanna hit those rails. Your pop looks good though
 
fuck yeah! it always gets me stoked seeing people learning something new. getting more comfortable from repetition is good. then learning how to guide with your front foot. practice landing to switch and to forward.

what i wish i did when i was starting is to immediately try sliding unnatural so other foot forward. focusing on getting that muscle memory and comfort as soon as possible will be a huge help down the road and unlock so many more tricks. same with learning spins both ways on jumps or looking over both shoulders when skiing switch.
