Hip Pads

What are everyone's thoughts on hip pads for skiing park. Pretty sick of having contently purple hips all season from rail hits. Bitchcy and uncomfortable or worth it?

i wear em. Landing on the same bruise over and over again is painfuland and takes a while to heal. Pads dont prevent everything but definitely take the sting out of falling on metal or icy landings, and it can mean the difference between a day recovery time as opposed to a week recovery time.

ima bitch yea, but im really all set with skiing around in pain hoping i dont land on the same injury. plus im older and the shit takes longer to heal. also i have good pads and dont really even feel them when im skiing.

This is a real problem on the east coast where the landings are pure ice a lot of the time.

But I think it would restrain you too much for it to be beneficial.

Ive always worn crash pads!

Impact shorts are super helpful, more than just eating shit. when you overshoot or undershoot a jump, learn to take less impact with your knees and more with butt checking, saving your prized acls for stomped landings. in my old age, if im not going to land perfect, i sit down.

my red shorts originally came with plastic hip inserts which i managed to break on a kinking DFD. surely this plastic insert saved my hip from permanent damage.

they give my skinny white ass some shape to hold my pants up...
