Hip-Hop Shows in NYC

So I live in CT, and I generally have ample opportunity to see pretty much any performing artist in the world (cause they all generally make it through NYC)
I have done a bunch of shows down there before, have friends in the area, and more or less have my routine on lock. Drive to new haven, take train (drink on train), eat, drink more, see show, continue drinking until i make it to my friends apartment.
Anyways, this thread is really about finding the shows. It seems to be extremely tedious for me to find shows that i want to see. I am not on any social networking sites, and really only cruise the internet regularly here. I need someone to point me in the direction of a site that has all hip-hop acts in NYC. Im generally looking for artists that are in the okayplayer realm of friends, or close in genre.

Spark notes: i need a website that has a list of hip-hop shows in NYC. Karma....
 
well my buddies just saw the game down in new haven last night. thats close enough to nyc.
 
I dont know if you like them, but on April 21st im going to a Ratatat show. Going to be shrooooomin! = )

You should ask the members of okayplayer where they stand on the Line vs. Armada debate...

i understand that that is the most "informative" answer, however you did not read my first post very well. that is my current method of finding concerts. it is tedious, and often i miss concerts i would have liked to go to simply because i was not thinking of that artist at the particular time.
if there was a centralized website (which i know exists in some form somewhere on the internet) that i could keep tabs on then i would avoid the whole "having to google every group or artist i can think of each specific time i feel like checking concert dates" problem.
maybe your right, nobody seems to know here. thats why i said ill ask in okayplayer. either way, you still bummed the thread out.
 
Hey asshat, thats why I said if you like them. I'm sure if he likes hip-hop beats im sure he would enjoy a show of Ratatat. I doubt he is only a fan of 1 type of music.
