My buddy and I started rhyming together just the other day, and this kid has natural talent. He could go far. We're working together for the next few months, and we've already come up with one track which I'm not putting up right now.

But here are the deets:

1) he's chubby (chubz is his stage name)

2) I'm skinny

3) we rhyme philosophical stuff and are sort of Blue Scholars-ish mixed with Shad or Brother Ali. It's relatively unique. So we want a unique name.

We've come up with a few already but I want to hear NS's ideas. when the track is finalized I'll put it up in this thread.

Chubz and his Walking Stick

how dirty is that?

Btw, i dig your lyrics and what. But you guys sound like young white guys TRYING to sound black. i would like it more if you just went with the flow. and i mean no disrespect, i really do like it.

It's my natural voice on the intro. So I think I'll go with that on the next song which is is better than this one thus far. We'll see. that's chubz's natural voice as well though. Like he actually has a semi-black voice when he talks.

alright, it just seemed like you were trying hard to sound blacker, haha

but how good is that name... i mean cmon

too slow for me, like idk, something is just weird

better then your other stuff though, you're getting there

go blow your mother fucking nose... (atleast thats what it sounds like)

"im so hood, im black, motherfucker, im so hood, i wish i was black, follow my example."

rap those bad boys.

i like your stuff alot but it just doesnt sound like your using your natural voice while ur rapping

we got a new one up (link in signature), we got some help from Coney Island Records. Righty is on the first verse. The professionally edited studio production along with another 2 verses from Righty will be put up in a couple days when it's done.

Wow just wow man. I didn't think that was you at first.

I've been listening to most of your music since you started posting it on NS. I'll be honest I wasn't your biggest fan but I always gave it a listen. But what I heard today was completely different. It really sounds like you've found your voice and are beginning to really flow. Congratulations man, I hope you do well and I'm glad you stuck with your gut and did what you loved. It sounds like it really paid off.

Well it's not me on the first two verses of it was all a dream. I'm still working on the voice a little bit but I do agree it's gotten a lot better and it will only continue to get better.

and to the dude above, I know about the accent. It's comin' as well, I like having a friend with me to record because it pushes you, especially when they have a natural voice. Thanks though!

i really liked that track life.

but cut the shit about selling mad treez and how no one would fuck with the crew...

and dont say nigga, either of you...again. ever.

the begginging was good, just casual shit about having to move or whatever, you dont have to make it seem like a struggle through the ghetto...

Chubz and Dimes

He's Chubz, your Dimes, it rhymes with the phrase "dubs and dimes" as in selling dubs and dimes, a fact which you could also exploit on a track.

And then you have to call your first album Nickles, Dimes, and Ho's. lol

IT WASNT US WHO SAID THE N WORD. It was Righty, an artist with Coney Island who IS BLACK. Jeezus. and chubz has gotten into a bit of shit before with this thing of selling weed/coke. So yeah...it's legit.
