Hike and huck cancelled

Before you read this, it is only what I have been told from Loon employees, so it is somewhat hearsay.
From what I have been hearing, it is pretty much because of insurance reasons. Rumor has it that ever since the accident at the 382 weekend, Loon upper management is apprehensive about holding park events that are covered on Loons own insurance (ie. 382, Hike and Huck, etc.). There have been numerous accidents this winter in which they are getting sued for and I head that they only want to hold events where outside insurance is brought in by the company hosting the event (ie. Free Flow Tour, Redbull Buttercup, etc).
For those who have attended Hike and Huck before, you know that it was always a shitshow and there was not much regulation as to who had actually filled out a waiver and who did not. I think Loon management started to realize what was going on, and that also played a factor into why they did not have it.
Also, there was no major ski sponsor for Hike and Huck this year and they were considering it to have it be a snowboard-only contest.

BUT once again, this is somewhat all hearsay so don't take my word for it.

 
i drove there from UNH yesterday and it was closed haha. off topic but loon needs to change that triple chair into a high speed asap.
 
and have it go to the top of the park. if they did that loon would by far have the illest park in the east. they do have the illest park fa sho but probably the hardest to lap the whole thing out of anywhere i know
 
quad laps for life... it sucks you miss the stairset and pipe but theyre not worth waiting in the gondi line
 
Ah sorry guys if I was the reason it got cancelled because of insurance and what not. At least I'm being punished, going on day 17 in the hospital.
 
On the channel gap for Battle my Crew, I was just hitting left jump rodeo 7 and left landing, so no transfer. But I hit it a little crooked and drifted. I hit the wall at the bottom where the two landings meet in the middle. Shattered my lower leg and had some other complications. You can see the video in my profile.
 
REPOST!!!!!!!!!!!! I posted a thread on this then bumped it a few times when they canceled. Nobody posted in it.

But seriously bummed. 2 years in a row. That is seriously my favorite thing of the season. I can't believe they killed my dreams again.

Next year better be sick
 
Word. I here them on that. They were pretty good about waivers I always though. And they really didn't need a major sponsor. You throw in your 30 bones sign a waiver and try to win some loot, eat some food, land some tricks.

They moved it up a couple weeks for more snow and still canceled it.

I think mount snow should start throwing one. Since mega mother is done. And they have abusive amounts of snow on inferno post season. Could easily rock a nice 50-60 footer for the comp
