Highwood pass/icefields?

Has anyone been up to either the icefields or highwood pass?

If so, is there enough snow to ski?

I was hoping to get some early season turns in, seemed like the place.

well the icefields are made of ice, so there is probably turn potential there.

but you will probably die in a crevasse or millwill or avalanche

there are a few accessible glaciers near highwood pass, but if you're looking for just snow to ski with no super danger I don't think you'll have any luck

parker's ridge on the icefield parkway is good to go.. bring rock skis and be careful. big ines at thi time of the year for riding it.
