Highlight Video Help!

I am taking on the task of creating my Highschools Sports highlight video for the year! Myself and some guys have been filming all the sports at my school and we are going to start editing it within a few weeks and keep filming and editing till June, but i haven't really edited a "highlight" video. If you take a look at my videos they are kind of artsy, more technical than just shot after shot after shot, so can you guys give me some tips to help portray sports better?

any tips, videos, tutorials on how to make highlight videos would be unreal

annnnnddddd I need some song help, i need two songs for the video, they have to be CLEAN.

I am looking for something Intense, lots of beat, and catchy (remind you the people that will see this do not care that a song has been used in any ski edit/film so good songs from the past are welcome!

i will share a bit of +K for people that help...... cuz i need help!

If you could do something like this it would be sick. I would say this video shows sport highlights very well

For a highlight video in general you want to keep all the clips short and sweet, so it is literally just the highlight. For instance in skiing you wouldn't show the skier on the ride in for the most part, you would just show them throwing/landing the trick. You might want to throw in a little b-roll though just to break up the action and not leave people overwhelmed if you feel like the video is moving too fast. Try and keep flashy transitions, slow motion, and fast motion to a bare minimum as it will overwhelm if its used too much. Hope some of these help out at least a little.
