High school

on a side note how easy is it to get a job like a waiter/gas station worker when youre like 25 and didnt go to highschool?

Pretty fucking easy. The thing with the job market is experience > education.

You can have all the education in the world. Could be a fucking doctor, but somebody who has a few years of experience in that field and solid references has a better chance than you. Obviously depends on what kind of job but experience is huge.

Don't burn your bridges. IF you have a job, even a shitty job, work your ass off. Try to move up the ranks. If you want to move on work to leave on good terms. You'll want those good references when applying for a job later. If you and a few other people are basically even for a job, when they call your references and they all say "great guy, very hard worker, left on good terms" you're going to be looking a ton better than having them call your employer and find out you were late all the time, sucked at your job, and quit without notice.

Not making it out of highschool is dumb though. I figure You can't quit until right at the end of highschool, you've slaved for 11 or 12 years to get to that point, why quit with a year to go.

But it really doesn't matter that much. People who set goals, and work there asses off to get there are the people that are gonna be alright.

i'm a senior in all honors and AP classes and i thought i was doing only decent but i have a 3.7 cumulative GPA so i guess it's not that bad

really hoping i get into colorado at boulder

In my first two years of highschool at a really intense private school I didn't try super hard, but I still did my homework and stuff, had an 85% in grade 9, an 86% in grade 10. Starting trying pretty hard last year and got an 89%. In my senior year I'm working my fucking ass off but it's paying off. I'm halfway through my exams right now, and going into them I had a 94%. McGill Biomed here I come!

But seriously, it kind of annoys me when people don't do anything in highschool. If you're going to do something, why not do it right?

considering I'm on a highschool computer right now "working on english" this is probably the most ironic thread I have ever read.

When I was in 2nd grade a girl came in the boys room and pissed in the urinal squatting over it /claim

I watched and was amazed

looking back i probably gave it 70% total effort. I got by with Cs mostly, some Bs. but never really tried my best. slacked a lot..

I dont think highschool is as big of a deal as people make it out to be. however if i could go back i would try to do better.

Doing good in high school is really easy. It doesn't even matter how smart you are. I have like an A average in all honors and ap's without even trying too much, but when i meet people they always tell me i sound and act like an idiot haha.

I go to a pretty hard high school and do the absolute minimum amount of work i can. I still have to do quite a bit of work but i never do more than a hour of hw a night, and i usually do none and do it at school. I used to get 3.1 about then i started taking vyvanse and now i get about a 3.3 or 3.4. Im a senior now, applying to a pretty good selection of colleges, and im pretty sure im gonna get into one thats gonna be really good for me so im happy.

Yesiree yesiree, thats what I like about high school girls. I get older they stay the same age, yes they do, yes they do

I never went! In retrospect I wish I had tried a little harder, because I really could have put in almost no effort and got straight A's, then I could have gone to college where there are more bitches and parties. But at the time I didn't think of it that way because there were already bitches and parties so I just concentrated on those.

im currently busting my ass since its my final year in highschool. im working on my time management since it quite honestly, sucks. its been going okay but im stuck finishing up an essay thats due tomorrow as well as a presentation. not too bad since things can be worse. also i tried hard from middle school to grade 9, then i transfered schools and it went downhill. i started trying again in grade 11 when my dad bribed me with a whistler trip. hehe
