Hey guys im 13 and want to go to a camp. Im thinkin either high north or camp of champions does anypne have and suggestions on which one is better more worth the money?? or any other good camps

high north or momentum.

im sure coc is sick, but u have to wait in a long ass liftline for the public t-bar to get back up to the top of ur park, and it takes sooo long, where at high north and momentum u ride the showcase t-bar which is pretty much private

COC only down fall

but other then the lift problem it is the best prolly but the most $$$$

but the life is a huge problem like 15-30minutes wait most of them time everytime

coc = flat and snowboard oriented

momentum = part moguls and is a very steep lane. Also more beginners go there

Hn = tits go there

I wish your parents could afford to send you to a school where you could learn to capitalize the beginnings of sentences and properly use ellipses....

coc, never ridden there but it looks the nicest, and the lift line problem is easy to solve, just go no poles and pretend your out of control then snake a bunch of people

im probably going to COC this summer because im poor, and it has the bigger park.

which camp is the most rail oriented?

COC looks like it has a better park. however, there are so many kids, theres like 200 and they dont feed you so you have to take like an hour to get food. which leaves you little to no skiing in the afternoon, something to think about.

An ellipsis is three dots. If you end a thought/sentence with an ellipsis, you use four dots. "Ellipses" is the plural of "ellipsis."

high north for sure.

high north has lunch on the mountain and the t-bar there has no line so you get more laps in. plus the coaching there is the best. big name pros do not always = amazing coaches.

high north:

-best lane

-awesome food right there on the lane

-not crowded

-good features

-good coaches

-amanda is one of the most helful people in the entire world

-awsome staff

-devoted diggers

-great activities

-well organized

i went to COC and didn't really like it

-too many snowboarders

-not enough coaching

-lift line and hiking SUCKED

however, their park last year and this year looks SICK

but momentum is the way to go

-its cheapest at whistler

-they feed you all meals

-coaching is awesome

-the lane is awesome

-never really wait in line for t-bar

-day off in the middle is amazing

hmm i wanted to go to COC but damn im changing my mind... But is coaching at high north serious the best?

guess which picture i still have....yeah...thats right, the tiled background....

why the fuck do i stil have that?

oh, go to HIGH NORTH

yay double post

reasons to go

- shane and amanda

- mike atkinson (you'll understand later...)

- DOUG MOTHERFUCKING BISHOP

- sick hotel

- they give you rides to the mountain in the morning

- SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK park

- colby west

i rode HN last summer. and its ur best choice for a fun time

but ridin by the COC camp, made me question my choice because the park seem uber legit.

for the best time=HN

for the best park=COC

i went to high north last year and i saw everything coc had wen i was at the glacier. i wish i could go to high north but unfortunately its just starting to get too expensive now, so i think im going to coc this year.

high north has the best lane, cool coaches(there are a lot of famous coaches but not as many famous coaches as momentum), the lift line is just for momentum and high north people, and some other tourists. if you have the money, definitely go to high north

COC is the biggest park compared to momentum and high north. but the line line for COC is probably about 10 times longer of a wait than for high north and momentum, and im not exagerating at all. coc's park is sick with their own private halfpipe and sick jumplines, theyre really creative with their rails and stuff.

and momentum has probably the worst lane. its just too steep for rails but the good thing is the more famous coaches and that if youre sessioning a jump or something, you can get off the t bar wenever you want and you wont have to wait to get all the way to the top

Since Momentum needs some props on this thread.....

-Rory Bushfield is the funnest guy in the world to ski with, period

-All of the coaching is awsesome, and the camp is very coaching oriented

-Video review every day

-Has a killer big jump that opens every day instead of once or twice per session

-Great rail selection including nutso wallride rollercoaster and rollercoaster S-rail

-This year everyone goes up on the Blackcomb Gondola, which is right beside the momentum hotel, no walk in the morning or rides required.

-Nobody can touch their coaching line-up, not even close, also they sponsor guys like Mike Riddle and Matt Hayward who come and session things with the campers.

-Great lunches at the hut at the top of the hill with an option to sit inside if weather is bad, beats huddling around in a tent trying to eat a burger with cold wet hands.

-T-bar goes right up through the middle of the camp, no skating across the flats required.

But yeah, HN and COC are both sweet camps as well.

coc

-huge park

-hundreds of kids

-huge lift line

-more girls there

High North

-huge table

-tiny lift line

-super chill coaches

-smaller park then coc

-only like 80 kids

is that the pic that people put on the background of the computers at the hn lounge? i dont even remember what pic it wasssssssss

but thats sillllllly that you have it, u should show me it.

and are u coming back to hn?

I was going to try and hit Momentum or HN this year but I think its too late. My parents think im crazy for wanting to go there plus they dont wanna pay, so Ill end up going next year when im 16 and pay for it on my own.

Props to you bro for hittin it at an early age, wish i coulda done that shit back then......

I seriously think that the camps should have a "real" skiing section. To complement the parks. From what I've seen heard blackcomb has so great sidecountry which can be accesed from the top of the showcase T-bar, a good amount of which can be ridden back to the lift (maybe a minimal hike). Summer so the snow pack is probably pretty safe with only wet slides being a concern. I think that this would add some variety and excitment espically for people who living on the east coast who dont get to ski on big mountains regularly. I know high north has the "steeps" or whatever but it really is a joke. Just my personal opinion but I think this could be a great idea. What do you guys think?

why would you want to ride all mountain in the summer when its like 60 degrees out side? esspecially when its a park of life time, i geuss unless youve never done anyhing like that... it could work.

Just to mix it up. There are some truly awesome coaches at these camps who could help your freeskiing as well as your park skiing. Plus I have heard that blackcomb has some truly sick terrain and it be nice to take down a big line with some guidence from a coach. As for the temperature, skiing all mountain in corn or slushy snow is super fun. Not saying instead of park skiing but just as another option.

hahaha YES! go to high north just to meet mike.

GOO high North!!!!!!!! I want to go againnnnnnn! it's the most magical place on earth

uh i went to session 1 last year and they constantly had 1 group taking people out and skiing down to the peak chair instead of lapping the park

Momentum is the way to go, they always have the craziest features, the coaching is great and its just an al around good time
