Hey Line Skis

me reading this thread then coming across your comment

Line already has Pollard and Pep, two of the best big mountain/powder skiers out there, it wouldn't really be necessary for them to get another guy like them.

As for Downey, their team is full of rail/urban skiers (TC). Again, unnecessary.

I don't really know why line would turn down quality skiers even if they have that type of skier. Big name skiers riding their skis in level 1 movies can only increase sales and brand exposure.

I'm not saying that building a good team is a bad thing, just that money could become an issue and they can avoid that kind of thing, because they would have a higher payroll for their athletes as more, better athletes are added.

That's what I was thinking..... I guess it's technically the same "company" seeing that Line is owned by K2....

Because film skiers need to be in films...Filmmakers don't just put skiers in their movies for free.

Because his current sponsors paid for it. if line picks him up and wants to keep him in the level 1 flicks then line has to put up the big bucks to keep him there

no no no, Line is owned by K2 SPORTS, which is also the parent company of K2 SKIS, Line and K2 are two separate companies.

I feel like movie companies are going in the trend of having 1 dominant ski sponsor.....K2/Stept, Salomon/Poor Boyz, Armada/Inspired, ect.

Why couldn't Line be this for Level 1?

Rainville filmed a ton of his After Dark (I think it was After Dark...) section on S7s. I could see him going there since clearly he's been on the product (and murdered pillows on it) and he'd have the same contacts/TMs as when he was on Dynastar. Downey... maybe Evan Williams will try and get him on board w/ that Nordica program.

incorrect .. it's like Nike & Converse, in same portfolio of brands, but different brands. 2 great riders tho! Hope they find a home.

Yeah, I understand that so I guess they will go somewhere to get paid a little better but it would be cool to see them with a team like that, both companies do make fantastic skis too.
