So, i've been getting into photography a bit, and when school was going i was borrowing an old minolta from my photography teacher, but now that it's summer, i'm stuck with a shit for balls, $20 digital fuck.
so, can i get a "decent" used camera without breaking the bank? i'm only looking to spend maybe, $150.
and if so, what would be some good models/brands and maybe websites that i can find used stuff on?
i found this site here :http://www.keh.com/OnLineStore/BrandTableOfContent.aspx
im pretty much looking for a 35mm slr

i use a pentax sometimes and its amazing. it takes mad good pics and the manual settings are key.

also my friend uses a nikon and loves it. he gets really good final pictures out of it

but if you want really cheap bodies and really cheap lenses go minolta

so, nikon and pentax are good then, my dad had a pentax, it was pretty nice i think.
is minolta stuff good though? or is it just cheap crap?
and +k sir

dont get into it with pentax, I would also stay away if you ever plan on getting into dslrs that arent Minolta/Sony

If I were you I would go him up ebay, look up Nikon 6006 ( $20-30 body) and a Nikkor AF 35-70mm 3.3/4.5 (somewhere around $30) Those numbers are highly generous, Im sure you could get a whole set up for $30 shipped. That'll get you started, if you like it you can then pick up a zoom lens, or step into digital.

i started into film photography last year and i went on craigslist and got a canon eos elan 7 w/ 28-135mm 3.5f lens for 250, and i am in the process of buying a canon dslr for this winter and not sure what other lens ill get though, but id say firstly check craigslist for used, there are some pretty sold deals, and if you plan on getting a dslr as well, plan ahead and try buy an slr of the same brand that you would get a dslr

If you really want to get into photography it might be worth it putting in the money. I film a lot but have a cannon rebel XTI as my camera and it's a nice DSLR, good for if ur starting out and really easy to use. But your gonna be looking to spend around 800-900$

I dont get why you guys are recommending expensive bodies to him?

Just get a Nikon 6006 from ebay, then a nice piece of glass, and then use the money you saved to get some nice film.
