Hestra Seth Morrison vs. Vertical Cut Freeride?

My (awesome) GF told me she's buying me a new pair of Hestra gloves from evo and asked if I want the Seth Morrison's or Vertical Cut Freeride. I like the cuff on the Freerides better for fitting under jackets, etc. And I definitely want a full leather glove. However, I need something that will keep me super warm in the cold, wet PNW conditions. I currently have Dakine Bronco GT's from about 4 or 5 years ago, but when it's really cold/wet/blowing, my hands are totally numb. Any input on which Hestra model I should go with? Thanks for any input!!

save your girl some money and buy my hestra's. its a great glovehttps://newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/651693/

For the PNW, seth no question. VCF has no waterproof liner. I have the VCF down here in oregon, and even sno-sealing it several times a year leaves me soaked on pow days. Awesome gloves (I prefer the fit and dexterity of the VCF over the seth), but it is just too wet in the PNW to go without a waterproof layer, IMO.

I'll be moving to a hestra with a waterproof liner this year.

go with the seths. i have the 3 finger model and they are fucking amazing. my hands have never been cold. only downside i can think of is that they can get a bit too warm some days.

imho great quality tho. worth every penny. im going on my 4th season with them and there isnt a single rip anywhere (and i live in SE michigan and almost every park has a rope tow)

I really love my VCFs, but like Iggyskier said, they can get a pretty wet in heavy snow or slush. I can't speak for the Morrisons, since I've never used them, but I've heard nothing but good things, so I doubt you can go wrong with either one.

i have both the morrison glove and the lobster mitt. they're both amazing. the three-finger version keeps me extremely warm on cold days and my hands haven't been wet once. absolutely go with the Seth's. you won't be disappointed.

Go with the seths, by far the best glove I have ever owned, hands have never been wet or cold. they kick my xcr gloves ass, and I don't wear the gore tex any more. Pipe gloves or seths for me!

Weird, now granted, I had the first gen seth's, so maybe they've changed it, but I felt like they absorbed water just as much as my VCFs. Both get quite damp on the outside, the seths less so on the inside. I think the VCFs have more fill and no waterproof liner so for a long day, your hands will get wetter. The seth's don't seem as warm to me, but my hands never get cold so no biggie. I'd say VCFs if you get cold hands, Seths if you ride in the PNW.

Was so excited when I checked evooutlet. Thought i'd found a cheaper pair of the 3 fingered seths. Nope, all small sizes.
