New to the community so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.. i few suggested iI post here. Intermediate skier, 5 10" , 190 just getting out there after about 3 years: used to ski 5-10 times a year for about 5 years. I ski only Ohio and New York but hope to make it out west soon: Generally ski in my share of crud, seldom have any more than a few inches of powder i'm skiing. more often than not pretty groomed stuff, etc. I saw what appeared to be some decent skis at a second hand sports store. sorta made an impulse buy: the following cost me $325. I could get a full refund if need be, by returning in 3 days. Quite frankly rentals are terrible around here so I thought these would be a decent optionVolkl motion P50 motion , powered by titanium: 163 cm with / 103/63/92: Marker motion 1200 bindings. the yappear to have some telescoping adjustment for boot size. not sure if standard for this binding or possibly an easy adjust rental binding.

the boots are salomon energizer 90, 8 impact :seemed to fit decent.

Interested in thoughts on the equipment value, do they seem like a good fit for my level and what I ski? Over the next year or so, I'd like to work back into things with some control but enough ski to improve with some lessons etc are they too short..i dont mind them a tad on short side if I'm more stable for a year or two. is the width too narrow: they still have a fair amount of shape to them. Seemed like a decent value but I can always try and turn them back over if need be

Any feedback would be appreciated

thanks

you need skis at the very least 171 bro, probably closer to 181 if you're 190. I don't know a ton about the skis, but for a crud charger i'd get something a bit wider as well

too short and fairly narrow

a ski with those dimensions are your carving ski

if your looking to just wreck shit all over the mountain, you need something wider
