Henrik wins freestyle ch!

It's boring watching Andreas, Elias, and Russ compete over who can do a more technical grab in their double cork 10 or 12. Even off a big jump like the JOI step down. Technical grabs are only cool if they look effortless (e.g., Gagnier's octograbs or Rainville's alternating grabs).

What the fuck do you want to see than? Cork 5 blunts? Switch boot grab doubles? Japan Kang flips?

Does anything make you people happy anymore? Or do you just have to bitch about everything?

The show was nice. I haven't seen the footy yet, but from what I saw live, I thought Wallisch killed it. His steeze was definately far beyond what everybody else delivered. If I had to judge, he would have won. ^^

personally, if i was a judge, i would have given it to elias. that grab is sooo damn sick. i remember when delorme first started doin those it was the beez kneez, and ns was all over his dick for it.
that said, i completely understand why henrik won, and i respect the judges choice. just differences in opinion

Damn judging is whack theese days. If they like style then yea henrik, but then why wouldn't Wallisch get through his was technically pure and super smooth!

Really? Take away the double cork grab contest and that's all that's left? I'm not hating on doubles and progression. I love doubles. And I was stoked on freestyle ch. Because Harlaut won by doing the smoothest double on the coolest axis. I would rather see different axes than different grabs. Seems like the judges felt the same way.

You should take it down a notch

What is this? I cannot even begin to decipher what that word means...

Also...Dub 12 forward octo thing > Hunched over with xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxl hoodie and boot grab switch dub

Its funny how jon did that grab with that trick like 3 years ago and everyone hated on the bootgrab then henrik does it in baggy clothes and everyone thinks its the steeziest thing out there i still thought he did a dope trick just something to think about.

Oh and Ben...we should make a gangster hand waving techno edit this year...oh the ideas I have right now...hilarity will ensue.

Get a clue. First, Henrik grabbed safety in front of the toepiece, that is NOT a boot grab. Second, no one does switch double 9 like that, it's a completely unique rotation, almost true switch dub flat. Style is about making a trick your own, not grabbing your skis in as many weird, obscure ways as you can in order to score more points. True style won this contest.

Oh herro Tyler Barnes, how are things?

But really...Making someone elses definition of style is a "weird, obscure" way to grab their skis ever think of that?

I liked Elias's trick better because I like doubles with sick grabs...my opinion on what I like as styley, sorry?

and I guarantee, as someone said before, if someone besides Henrik threw the same trick, say Jon for example, people would be talking shit because he did a safety grab and not a "real" grab.

and also...

;)

its because henrik threw the trick in a way no one else does. everyone throws the same rotation into dubs making style not always about what grab you do. and what's your arguement? if jon did it people would hate? well guess what, he didn't do it. henrik did. so nice point there. you're right, style is obscure which is why the judges liked henriks style more than the standard dub rotation and which is why you're not a fucking judge. deal with it.

oh noo...someone has a different opinion than me...wah wah wah....i didnt like henriks trick...dont understand why people get so butthurt over my opinion.

Good point, you can like anything you want! No sense arguing about something so subjective. Just don't take anything away from henrik because his trick doesn't sound as crazy when you write it down. Not all switch dub 9 safety's are the same.

I liked Henrik's trick. Its got a unique axis, bit different than your normal switch dub 9. I don't think he should have won though. Just my opinion.

so why are you complaining about the results then if you agree style is subjective? its really a stupid thing to say someone is right about it while others aren't.

once again my opinion..but im not a judge and yah his trick was cool but i liked elias better...never meant to take away anything from henrik

who do you think will end up as gay partners? i think russ and elias will.... unless elias goes after that cougar, jon.

I appreciate the explanation, because tbh, I didn't really care much for the trick Henrik threw down. Granted, I don't know much about how technical tricks are and such( it was probably harder to throw than it looks), but it just didn't look real flashy to me. No hate on Henrik....I love him, just sayin it didn't do much for me:)

The Crossover session winner was determined by crowd response, kind of "peoples choice" I guess

tom wallich cork 7 blunt to truck is the coolest trick i have ever seen i think. that shit should have won, at least if i was judging haha

elias's grab is what's wrong with skiing.

might as well have everyone grabbing tindy again...
