Henrik on pivot 14's?

Weight might be a factor but anyone have any theories as to why he is running 14's? Is there a different spring inside?

There’s been a couple pictures of him with those now and I believe they also showed them at a trade show in Europe. Most likely 14 is working fine for what he’s doing. I’m sure he still has 15’s and custom 18’s in the fleet as well.

From the 23/24 Gear Thread. Looks like a 16 spring inside the 12/14 toe made just for him.

the 12/14 toe is safer than the 15/18 and has a better release.

Mmmh, because the thing twists at the toe? I have had that happen a few times on my 14's. I only got 15's to use cast on them.

What is better about the release is better? Doesn't the 15/18 have upward release?

Idk, the more I think about it the 15/18 seems like a scam. How does the toe release. There are only those itty bitty black wings that could potentially do something. Hot take? I personally love my 15's and only released once so far and that saved me from certain doom.

The entire thing pivots on the lower part. Turn the din down and you can turn it in any direction with your hand. I've seen people release directly upward, the black wings are just so that your boot toe isn't touching metal.

upward release on the 15/18 is to a much smaller degree than the 12/14.

Huh, that makes sense as I have found my toe wiggling a bit and I run a 7 din. I'm also not a chonker.

it makes sense. if henrik lands backseat off a jump past the point of saving... he needs the toe lug of his boot to release upwards. the p18 toe piece will only rotate upwards like 10* and then hopefully kick you out the side of the toe when your leg twists. p14 toe piece will release the toe lug straight up, while your in a fucked backwards fail.

It’s probs cause the plastic toe is lighter, really don’t think anyone want a heavier setup than necessary, although I do love how 15/18’s goes look

14 also twists. It will pop funny if you really fuck up.

Not sure what you mean twists. The 12/14 toe body does not move. Only the wings twist or rise for release. The body is sold to the base.

only the 15/18 full body twist and rise. That’s one of the main feature differences.

That is what I mean, the wings twist.

Lol, I made one comment about downvoting you for fun and you are trying to tank me. ?

Stop being paranoid. My comment was about you posting useless stuff just to build your count. Nothing about votes

Idk which ones better but one time I twisted the 12/14 toe piece wings to be completely vertical after a crash. So that's a cool feature that is unachievable on the 15/18
