Help!!!!!

I was just wondering if anybody new how to use lightwave. i have a problem, i can't figure out how to use the vortex paint, i can paint the guys up real nice but i can apply it to the main model.

i a tryng to make new DNA levels, and i am just trying to Paint a new dude, but i can't figure out how to get the new guy to replace the old one
