Help with spins.

OK so i learned 3's and can throw them easy, However im now trying to learn 5's. When i come off the lip and start my spin i can get the 360 easy but as soon as i continue spinning for the 540 i start flailing and start to cork the spin and stop spinning. Any ideas on how to correct this?

your not noticing it but your probably opening up when you come around like your throwing a three.

your spreading out your arms and legs and making your body wider to slow down, which is the right thing to do

but if you want to throw a 5 you have to stay compact for a longer time

exact same thing happened to me when i was learning them. make sure you pop. have pressure on the tounges of your boots coming off the lip. make sure you pop then set your spin, if not youll set you spin back and start floating onto your back. try to keep your eyes up as your learning the spins, dont concentrate on getting grabs for a while, just work on gettin the spins down. style will come dont worry about it

When you throw, tuck your hands in and put your elbows out. Like your a cholo. Then throw with your arms then shoulders, then hips. Make sure when you throw to throw across the horizon. I make sure that at the begining of the day i warm up right to get my landings just right and not corked. I do a straight run, then threes just focusing on landing solid.

I had this problem, and what I found worked was when I got to just under 3, when I normally opened up, I bonered it out. This would allow me to spot the landing and land really clean.

Once you get good with them you can stop with the temporary pencil steeze and get some grabs into them

i would go up on toa hip and just throw hard thats how i learnt how to do 5s!

(plz rate for karma just started, would be much apreseated)

just so you know, since your new here, asking for karma is just asking for negative. plus it really doesnt matter at all.
