Help with ski length (Infamous)

Aryt im conviced to buy the Atomic infamous. But wondering which length I should go for. Im 5"8 and a half (174cm) If I choose the 171's I have much more control but will it look silly with shorter skiis I find it kind of looking wierd when u have to short skiis. And 176 would make me look so much better but im worried about if it will make it harder to take spin tricks on rails and stuff.

Some advice would be very helpfull and appreciated! Which lenght shoulg I go for! ??

 
You could go either way to be honest, but it's all personal pretence. It sounds like you reckon the 171s would be a better fit for you. But you're worried too much about what other people think. Honestly get the size you think is right for you, not the size you think others will think is right for you (hopefully you can decipher that last bit).
 
171 will be fine. They are certainly a ski you can short. I rode a 181 at the start of last season and was fine on the 171 infamous when I got some. If go personally for the 175 but I'm 5'11 and 180 lbs. so you should have no issue in the 171. Great ski too good choice.
 
how old are you and do you think your gonna grow because if you think your gonna grow more you may wanna take that into consideration.
 
Im actully 20, but I think it looks stupid when you have to short skiis and thats the only thing im asking for if its going to look too short
 
I'm 5'8" and just got some Infamous's. Some 171's and I'm selling them since I just got some other skis as a gift. I'll be making a thread to sell them for $320 shipped unless you want them. They're brand new and still in the shrink wrap. PM me if you're interested.
 
Don't worry about what people think. Im same height as you and I ski 184s. Reason why? Because that's what I like and what i'm comfortable with. Go with what you want dude
 
I'm 5'7 130 lbs, my old skis were 178 chronics. Should I go for 171 or 176 infamous? I want to do both smaller jibs and bigger 30 to 60 feet jumps. 171 would be easier for jibs and butters but would it be less stable on jumps? Chronics felt a little stiff but worked well on jumps.
 
Someone knows the true length of the Infamous? or Atomic skis in general?... There're more like Armada and K2 with the real lengths or are more like volkl (shorter skis)?
