Help With Pictures

I have very little knowledge of taking pics other than just with an Iphone. I want to start taking some cool pictures like mid air or on rails and stuff but most of the pics are pretty bad with my phone. I have a GoPro 3+ Black from a few years ago but not sure exactly how I should go about this. Any advice would be awesome!

your iphone is probably going to be a better camera than the gopro 3. use AE/AF lock by holding your finger to set the focus and exposure. you can also hold down the shutter button and it will burst photos. just pay attention to your composition and think about where to position yourself so that you can see what the skier is doing but also the context/feature of what they are skiing.
