Help with music

hey im in computer class and i can download music off a site called pure volume but i have one problem i am having a complete mental blank and cannot think of ne good bands that i would b able to download so i was wonderering if ppl could post good bands that play rock or rap that r not too mainstream thanks dont tell me obvious bands like for example tupac or rage against the machine ... i need bands that r good but not mainstream thanks

jesus christ can anyone figure out what music they like now a days rather then having it suggested to them.

i don't want to sound elitist but if you have to ask about good mainstream bands then you shouldn't be fucking listening to indie/underground. figure that shit out for your self thats part of the fun.
