Help with dying/taking apart full tilts

I want to dye my full tilt tongues but couldn't figure out how to take them off and the owner's manual says nothing.

I also want to dye them. I know you boil water and put RIT dye in the water but how long do you leave the tongue in the water? Also do you keep the stove on while dying the tongue or turn it off after it boils?

There is a [_] shaped piece of metal that acts as the tongue hinge for flexons/fts.

Take a flathead and pull the metal piece outward until it pops out. It takes a little bit of force, so don't be afraid to break it. Post a pic once you dye it.
 
to take the tongue off, unbuckle everything obviously and pull the tongue as far out as it goes (if you were wearing it you'd be pushing it away from your shin) then pull one side of the metal clip out of the hole than the other. hope that makes sense.

I'd like to know about this too tho if anyone has any information or especially pictures.
