Help with Documentary

Currently a senior in high school and I'm working on a documentary for my broadcast Journalism class. I can pick whatever topic I want and I wanted to do something about the outdoors. I live in Oregon so I figure I could make it work, but I need a good story so does anyone have any suggestions? I want to incorporate skiing and surfing as well and could maybe to something towards that angle as well. I'll be working with adobe premier pro and will have access to a good amount of camera equipment ( multiple dslr with multiple lenses, Sony ax1, mics, drones) it needs to be around 10-15mins

Any help is much appreciated!

Find a story about a person that you're passionate about and follow it

I highly highly recommend watching this video and most of this channel

maybe include activities starting at the coat then travel to the mountain and have a creative travel sequence etc. just a though

did a certificate in doc's post secondary. this was my final. looking back there are heaps of things i would change, but i had a lot of fun making it.

couple tips:

1. don't do interviews with a black background

2. don't show the subject talking too long

Yo homie, I agree with Ben here. Are you looking to encapsulate the hiking and exploring style of Oregon? I'm a landscape photographer and know my way around well. I'd be willing to lend my time and adventures for a documentary. Feel free to do me if you'd like! Here's a link to my stuff.
