I got some skullcandy headphones that come with an mp3 player in them which is a pretty sweet idea but I cant use them... PROBLEM: When I plug the usb to charge it and put songs on it, my computer freaks out and sais Power Surge On Hub Port ( it pops up 5 times) I need a form of super NS geek to help me out here so I can listen to my earphones.

your overloading your usb hub, try unplugging somethings from it, or unplug it completely and put the mp3 player directly into your computer.

this.

and also if your on a desktop try plugging into the back USB's instead of the USBs on the front

more details: I have absolutely no other usb's or anything else plugged into my computer so that is not an issue. I cant plug the mp3 player right into it because its a part of the headphones so the way I do it is the way I am suposed to and it is the only way

do you have a relatively new computer? if not you may not have usb 2.0 which is probably what the mp3 player requires.

I have an old one but I have tried it on macbook pro's and still no luck, also I have tried plugging it in the back and it doesnt work
