yea man just get a bunch or 2 inch pvc piping and ull be golden... it lasts a while too my rails is going of year 2 and is still working like it was new

My box with the small pvc pipes broke after a couple months, I'd go with the 2 inch stuff, my shotgun rails made out of that size are still good as new

or if you want to dish out some cash and be as legit as the mountains, get yourself a hold of some HDPE. high density poly urethane is the hard plastic stuff used on professional boxes, just make sure to countersink your screws and be as rich as possible when buying it.

get some hdpe is you want something legit. Its on the more expensive side, but lots of resorts throw it out when they make new boxes. I took a ton when we redid some of our stuff but we ended up throwing away a lot.

what they said. if your on a tighter buget use the pvc which still works beautifully if you want what the mountains have us HDPE

skip pvc and buying hdpe. stop by your local ive rink, see if they have any old puckboard laying around that you can scrape off of them. stuff works great.

yoski is right dude! If your doing this for your back yard you can get away with using the 1/8 or 1/4 thickness. Just make sure you use solid plywood under it.

thanks everyone for the help, also how do u want to mount the pvc and the plexy glass stuff do u glue or screw or both? and ++K to everyone who is helping

you can use HMFW but its spendy, try a just PVC, not a pipe though, you can get it in sheets of 4x8 and it goes for around $100 bucks. Another cheep way to do it is get some sheets of lexan and glue it to your sheet metal...

Cool, but pricey. Something like HDPE but clear would be sick. That would be about $250 for a 4 x 8 sheet; not much more than HDPE. I'd like to know how it slides. This could be the same stuff the Andreas Hatveit has in his park. Clear top with lights underneath. It was the reason I built this:
