Help with a tat

So im getting a tattoo of my mountain. Its going to have a portrait of mt hood which i drew then its gonna say Mt Hood underneath.. But i cant draw any fonts i like.. I know theres tons of good artists here, help me out.. Pics would be super
 
Yah I like the quote idea

some along the lines of "skiing is life and life is skiing" would be sick

just something simple but meaningful
 
how big is it gonna be and where?
like a massive one that covers your back or like a little one on your arm?
i say no font, you're not a mt. hood spokesman so just get a pic of the mountain and maybe some cool shit around it and yea if ur gonna go text then put a quote

but my main advice is don't get a tat, what's gonna happen when youre like 70 and it's all wrinkled and shit?
 
^I have worse scars then a any tattoo will ever be,, ive wanted this since i was in middle school.. like the size of a coaster and it will be on my ass or on the side of my ribs like under my arm
 
i'd say who gives a fuck what it looks like when you're 70. you only live once and you've got to enjoy it to its fullest. thats something meaningfull he can carry with him for the rest of his life. and thread creator, post a pic of your drawing it sounds sick
 
Word. I told the guy what I wanted, and he drew up how he thought it would look good. It's now on my leg, and he free handed some extra shit that I love.
 
hahaha thank you. i love when people say dude when you're like 70 and wrinkled, you're gonna look retarded. well listen here, when i'm 70 i'm gonna look like a fucking retard anyways. i will be old, slow and my last concern will be how i look but rather when the fuck i will die already.
 
hahaha sorry for double post, but don't get it on your ass! go for the side of ribs. it will be painful but worth it.
 
sick dude you should post the sketch of your tat i want to see it bad it sounds way sick...also i agree with dropping the mt. hood title and doing some other sweet stuff
 
carpe skiem is a take off of carpe diem, which is a famous latin saying meaning 'Sieze the Day', althought 'skiem' doesnt actually mean anything it just a take off of 'diem'.

It might be sick if you got the the phrase 'Live to Ski' like rightside up then you had the artist reverse it and have it say 'Ski to Live' upside down, so it kinda looks mirrored over but still both sentences make sense. i'm sure the artist could think of some cool way to do this if its what you wanted.

i'm getting a straight tat saying 'RISK' on my back left shoulder in some cool font eventually.
 
^dude, actually i was going to get mt hood mirrored, but i couldnt think of how to do it.. mirroring things is REALLY hard
 
all these people stoked on tats in this thread make me even more excited to get my wisconsin tattoo
