Help with 3's

For some reason, whenever I three, whether i'm trying to grab or just do it straight, I go into pinner. I'd love to get like a mute 3. It gets so frustrating, because when your trying to progress you need to grab. I think i'm popping ok, but my legs just go straight out when i jump, and no matter how hard I try, i cant seem to get this right. Any ideas?

And spin with your whole body together, don't let your body get ahead of your legs. Be nice and low when you pop and be nice and compact in the air.
 
Keep your legs shoulder width apart and make sure to pop evenly. Look over your spin side shoulder and try to spot the landing as soon as possible. When you pop pull your legs to your body in a slow controlled movement and begin the grab at about 100 degrees into the spin. Make sure to spot your landing. Stomp it like a G and bang all day erryday.
 
first bit of advice was spot on. also, i'd suggest trying to spin with your legs tucked up but not grabbing. just to get the feeling for not spinning pinned out
 
Waiting till 180 to grab is a biggie. But you cant rush grabs definetaly not your first spin grab, you gotta keep doin them till you get some air awareness. Try doing bigger jumps. Then at 180 just kinda play around, try pulling your legs up, or kicking your feet, just dont forget to look for your landing. This way you go from just doing it to really experiencing your airtime hence "air awareness".
Also when your trying to pull of harder grabs they can throw you off balance and it takes some practice to get used to it. A super good and fun way to get the hang is to do those straight air back scratchers
 
this isn't the real squestion. the more puzzling matter in this thread is how NS hasn't blown up with hate, searchbar and tricktip cult shouts.
this place is so volatile...
 
The 180 point is big, eventually grabbing will become so natural it will be automatic, even when you are trying new tricks, it even sometimes makes them easier.
