Help with 270 out FS/BS

I've done them a number of times but they're usually pretty sketch and just feel awkward. If anyone has some useful tips on making them feel more natural or just making them feel easier in general, post below! I'd love to get them locked down early season so I can work towards 450's and maybe 630's.

Thanks!

Just do them more often and they will feel and get easier and easier. try gripping the rail sooner than you have in the past to start the rotation

That feel when you can spin onto rails just fine but can barely spin out of them. Pls help wise skiers.

Appreciate the reply. +k to you good sir

jump around an do rotations when not on snow. Don't use your arms just use your feet. Once you get it down on land then try it on snow.

be patient until you get to the end of the rail then explode out of it as you initiate the spin. if you need to pretzel make sure you dont lock in your front edge until you reach the end of the rail.

For back 270 dig the nose of your front ski down to grip the rail with the edge near your toes and you kind of use this to push you around the spin.

For the front you "gas peddle" your front ski by lifting up the nose and kind of diggin the edge near your heal into the rail to give you the spin. I like do front 2s by basically getting the edge control and then shifting my hips, but keeping my head in the same spot so that I stomp then and ski away in control.

You don't have to scissor hard to set spins, but it helps when you're learning new things, especially bigger spins out.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Gonna for sure try to get those on lock early season. I definitely want to progress this year since last year I learned pretty much nothing.

+k for those who had something useful to say!

I learned them both in my first year and I must say blind / backside 270s and way easier , but the best way to learn them is constantly doing them out of up-rails , and even easier if you are doing/learning them on a tube rail.

Last tip is to make sure you scissor the rail, doing this will give you a whole better grip and will stabilize your tricks

A big thing that helped me a lot is to actually jump out of the rail. A lot of times you get into a habit of just falling off the end of the rail and trying to spin it around. By popping out of it you have a lot more time and force to spin you around. Especially useful with bigger spins
